Description

We make a difference in people’s lives every day. An organisation that’s owned and run by its members and colleagues, Bron Afon Community Housing manages over 8,000 homes across Torfaen and neighbouring communities, and we’re proud to be more than just a housing provider. We work collaboratively to improve lives, tackle inequality, and create opportunities for people facing disadvantage and exclusion.

We’re currently piloting a 4-day working week, based on the 100–80–100 principle: delivering 100% of the work, in 80% of the time, for 100% of the pay. It’s part of our commitment to innovation, wellbeing, and work-life balance.

We’re looking for an exceptional Executive Director of Operations to lead transformational change across our Operations Directorate. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for delivering outstanding customer experiences alongside the highest levels of compliance, while unlocking efficiencies and new ways of working through our digital investment. You’ll oversee around 350 colleagues, across Communities and Placemaking, Property and Asset Management, and a large Direct Labour Organisation (DLO), driving productivity and integration to create a seamless service for customers.

You’ll bring proven experience of leading significant change in a complex, customer-focused environment, with a track record of improving commercial performance, delivering efficiencies, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Strong strategic insight, board-level exposure, and the ability to inspire and hold teams accountable are essential. Experience in asset management and/or social housing will be highly advantageous.
